[Coop] Abandon Chambers COOP Pack
Quote from Hunter-Killer on May 24, 2012, 6:59 amUPDATE: Finally on the workshop - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =341008938
With everyone now testing in other dimensions and GlaDOS occupied with her new little killers Atlas and P-body were getting pretty bored so they decided to wondered off into the unknown and ended up stumbling across the abandoned chambers...
5 parts so far, all focusing around use of funnels with either paint or fling mechanics added into the mix.
Many thanks and happy testing!

Looking forward to what else you have in store in the map-pack. Now where's my coop partner?...

One question: How did you manage to put that much text on the Workshop? I just wanted to post my small coop map there including a detailed installation instruction like you did. But obviously I'm only allowed about 10 lines of text. When trying to add more, I just hear an error sound.

Quote from soundsofentropy on May 24, 2012, 4:32 pmJust played it and enjoyed it a lot. We only got through the first 4 chambers (and quickly at that), because the 5th chamber kept crashing for me right as we were about to solve it. Other than that, the maps were a lot of fun.

Chamber 1 was working out alright. The first player doesn't have to get up to the exit right away, it's also possible to connect to the funnel by standing slightly in front of the fizzler. But that doesn't change the general mechanic of course so it's no big deal.
Chamber 2 was too easy and made one player stand around while the second one was doing the puzzle and only had to funnel the other player to the exit in the end.
I remember playing Chamber 3 in an earlier version. This one had the same small issue we had back then: It seemed a bit based of luck wether you'd hit the fling portals correctly or you'd be slightly off and bounce off the panels. Also, we didn't figure out how to keep the door button pressed so in order to restart the fling we had to kill ourselves which seemed unnessecary.
Chamber 4 was nice. It would have been even better had there been a cleaning station in case you get the cube covered in paint.
Chamber 5 didn't crash for us. This was the best puzzle in the series.
It was fun to play this, thanks for creating!

Quote from ChickenMobile on May 26, 2012, 9:26 amHey! Really enjoyed this map pack. Though have to be honest, played 2 of these maps before.
Chamber 1 was nice and easy. Could still do it with 400 ping, so a bonus.
Chamber 2 Was a nice addition. The ending weas a bit touchy though. Were you meant to jump down into the hole and just portal on the funnel once you go up the lift?
Chamber 3 I had played before. I swear you made it easier with some new portal placements
Chamber 4 Played before too... Dont think this one changed at all, but it was still fun to play
Chamber 5 Was very cool. The ending included a bit of quick portal manoeuvres but other than that it was great. Got us thinkingI vote this Very good / 5

Quote from cairo140 on June 23, 2012, 10:21 pmCool map set. My partner and I found it only somewhat satisfactory because the progression seemed to be too linear. That said, the levels are pretty and the pacing would be great for people getting started with coop. Thanks for the map pack!

Quote from KennKong on August 24, 2012, 12:27 amRedunzl and I had played this map pack before, but gave up on the last chamber. This time, we made it through to the end.
The way we solved the final chamber involved some portal sniping just past the edges of columns, so we don't think it was the intended solution. This was one of those rare blue gel puzzles where the spacing of elements was perfect. We didn't miss many bounces like we usually do.
The looks were good and consistent, the puzzles were fairly straightforward but still took some thinking, and overall we quite enjoyed playing it. 4/5.
