Can't find a tut how to get models
Quote from Bean on August 11, 2012, 1:31 pmSorry for posting such a crap question but I cannot find a tutorial on how to add static models in to my map. Tried using search in these forums but are flooded with a million results that arnt as simple as adding a model.
Can anyone link me to a half decent model tutorial?
Thanks in advanced.

Quote from Bean on August 11, 2012, 2:01 pmThanks. I did find this one but its not seeming to work for me. I cant find a static prop that actually IS something. everything in that menu shows "ERROR" in the 3D window so I was wondering if this was a glitch or the tutorial is for generic source games or portal 2 specific.

Quote from zivi7 on August 11, 2012, 2:08 pmAh, no that tutorial is for source games in general, the examples there are probably from Half-Life. Just follow the first step to create a static_prop, then go to the world model. The model viewer will open now. Now don't copy over those specific model names from the tutorial, but just browse through the models by clicking on the folders you see.

Quote from Bean on August 11, 2012, 2:42 pmAh problem solved. I was getting confused why my window looked different to the tuts but I eventually just restarted the SDK and the problem was solved. Just a glitch I guess. Thanks for your help zivi.
