Aerial faith plates that toggle on/off tutorial
Quote from berrycake on June 16, 2012, 11:01 pmhear me blab
about how to make aerial faith plates, and more, i have barely seen people do this where they toggle on/off but here you go
with 4 entities only being used and around 6-10 outputs on buttons or catapult
1 prop_dynamic, 1 block(trigger on trigger_catapult), 1 target , 1 button/switch
Faithplates can just be added on a 8/16 grid size, and then the floor CLIPPED out.
Also I would make the trigger surface smaller, that's also what happens in game, it just feels a bit better that you need to be on the thing, rather then slightly touch it before being launched.oh and things you forgot:
* faithplate sounds
* an invisble texture inside the faithplate to prevent people and cubes from falling into the faithplate.
I see carve tool, please fix that!

Carve is very buggy and can cause a lot of trouble when you change the size of your brushes for example. Clip is a bit more work but it will totally pay itself off in the end.Tl;dr clip > carve.
